This book, published in 1997 and now out-of-print, started out as a book about how non-programmers could use Java. But no publishers were interested. Thus, it becaome a full-color book on using specific Java applets in Web pages. Several dozen Java applets are featured.

For those who are apprehensive about using Java applets (created by others) in their Web pages, this book provides you with good practice installing a wide variety of Java applets. Consequently, you will never be reluctant to use Java applets again. By anology, it also builds your confidence for using any embedded programming in Web pages such as Web-database applications (e.g., Cold Fusion), streamming media, and the like.
